Powerful Application with Responsive Support

This is a very, very good audio editor. Im giving it five stars not only for the functionality, but also because of the responsiveness of the author. Functionally its great for folks who need more than what something like Audacity gives you, but dont need the complexity of a Pro Tools or even Logic. I was a Cool Edit Pro/Audition and Sound Forge user for years, and this sits in that same sweet spot for me.

Something to be aware of at the moment: if your *only* machine is a late 2012 MacBook Pro *with Retina Display* (non-Retina displays arent affected), you may want to hold off. Theres a screen-drawing bug thats giving quite a performance hit. The author is working on it. I had to force-quit the app and based on the crash report that was sent to him he reached out to me with an explanation. Since I can use the program on a different (non-Retina) machine I can afford to be patient. Im not posting this as a criticism (five stars, remember?) because I have every confidence its going to be resolved soon. When it does Ill amend this review. Im only bringing it up to prevent someone from getting the wrong first impression about the program.
